A man woke up and, after a special memory exercise and after eating breakfast and brushing his teeth he was able to remember that he had heard at least one word with the letter r and that something resembling a splinter, but probably not a splinter, fell to the floor. The latter was not true. There had not fallen anything that resembled splinters to the floor. But a splinter had, strangely enough, fallen up from the floor and onto a table.
