Exclusively for Readers of The Other Newspaper: The Water Family Reveals The History of Water

2014

“Well, water is pretty fundamental.”

“A person who crawls through the desert because he is thirsty has probably forgotten to bring water.”

There is a lot of whispering before my interview with Bob Water, great-grandson to the inventor of water, who invented water in 1954. I am presented with a relaxed Water who proudly offers me a glass of water.

Thank you. How did it begin?

“My great-grandfather looked out over the water and then he got a bright idea.”

Water.

“Exactly. Then he thought: How can we mass produce this without high costs and without getting wet? ”

What did he do then?

“He turned on the tap.”
