“Imagine two interesting men who like to hear themselves talking, both in spoken and in written words. Complete rubbish from one end to the other. Nonsense and nothing. Imagine that Federspiel, in the middle of the interview, repeatedly kneels down, measuring various words and phrases he has drawn on a large wall sheet. In his own words, he has chosen the font sizes according to how much meaning there is in the different words and phrases. The expression to pull yourself together, the words responsibility and marathon runner he has written on the sheet with the smallest font size. These respectable language games, used by virtually any bungler and even in a funny subconscious yet nonetheless deeply functional way, he completely turns down. Twecknose asks him questions about this, but every time he is met with an angry grimace. It is this sourness which Entwistle does not mention in his otherwise completely magnificent presentation of the interview. It’s totally wild salmon.”
