New Book: Mrs. Melvor And The Infinite Calf

1048

You are the author of Mrs. Melvor and the Infinite Calf.

“That’s right.”

How many pages do you need to describe infinity?

“In the book I use 40 pages.”

Yes, but you describe infinity as such, i.e. mathematically. The fact that the subject is a calf isn’t given much emphasis.

“I do not hide that it the subject is indeed a calf.”

Couldn’t it just as well be an infinite grasshopper?

“No, because Mrs. Melvor likes calves while she is neutral to grasshoppers.”

Yet she surrounds herself with pictures of grasshoppers in her house.

“Well, it’s an interested neutrality.”

That doesn’t exist.

“You can read infinitely about something you are neutral about.”

How strange.
